There was no single person who could be referred to as the Person of the Year 2006.

Al-Jazeerah has elected to list the persons who played important roles in the world wide conflict, in 2006.

The Neo-cons who rule the Zionist Empire had a vision of controlling the Arab and Muslim worlds, which are rich in oil and gas, the main sources of the world's energy.

Leaders of the Empire launched global wars, particularly on Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, and Lebanon. They also launched diplomatic wars and sanctions against North Korea, Iran, Syria, Palestine  and Venezuela.

The Neo-con Zionist wars were met with resistance in all battlefields.

Death and destruction spread everywhere, particularly in Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, and Palestine.

Threats of war are still facing Iran, Syria, and Venezuela. Only North Korea came out of the conflict victorious, as a result of possessing nuclear weapons.

Iran is copying the North Korean experience, as the only hope for it to avoid being ravished and devastated like Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, and Palestine.

Venezuela is strengthening its ties with other revolutionary Latin American countries, like Cuba, Bolivia, Chile, and Peru, in order to avoid being invaded.

In 2006, leaders of the Zionist Empire went wild. Let's pray that they have learned their lesson, that war triggers more wars. Invasions and occupations trigger fierce resistance. Nations of the world have demonstrated their determination to be free, not to accept foreign invasion and occupation.

Yes, the neo-con Zionist wars have devastated the invaded countries but they also have sunk the United States deep in debt, to the verge of financial collapse ($8.8 Trillion so far).

For the sake of the United States and for the sake of the world peace, Israelis and their neo-con supporters should be persuaded to leave the Palestinian people alone, and let them establish their own state.

The neo-cons should quit invading and occupying other nations. It's a recipe for disaster to the US as well as the invaded nations. US-Led NATO forces should withdraw from Iraq,  Afghanistan, and Syrian occupied territories as soon as possible for peace to happen on Earth again.

Let's hope and pray that 2007 is a year of peace.

Happy New Year.
