While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

Speaking before UNSC, Mansour: “Our right to self-determination is inalienable. It is not tied to a timeframe”

NEWYORK, Friday, April 19, 2024 (WAFA) -

“Our right to self-determination is inalienable. It is not tied to a timeframe”, Riyadh Mansour, Palestine’s Permanent Observer to the United Nations, Thursday said before the UN Security Council (UNSC).

Speaking before the 15-nation Council, which convened to vote on a draft resolution that recommended that Palestine become a full member of the UN, Mansour stated: “Our right to self-determination is inalienable. It is not tied to a time or a timeframe. Our right is eternal, preeminence and continuous.”

“It cannot be delayed. It cannot be suspended and it has no statute of limitations. It is important that this right not be subject to manipulation, or domination or conditions, especially not by Israel, the occupying power, the ethnic cleansing power, the genocidal power, the colonial power that is determined to evict our people from their homeland, to eliminate their identity and to replace their history and their culture and to uproot their present and their civilization and to besiege their future and their horizons,” he added.

He asked the Council members: “Will you give Israel the time it needs to annex Palestinian land? Will you give it the immunity to evict the people and kill them? Will you give Israel the weapons to kill more people? Will you give her, give Israel the right to veto our right to exist on our land? To veto the Palestinian state right to full membership in the United Nations?”

“Please remember that once this session adjourns, in Palestine, there are innocents paying the price with their lives and the lives of their children, the price of this Israeli action, a price to the double standards, the blind bias towards Israel. The price for the delay in justice, freedom and peace,” he said.

The Palestinian Ambassador broke into tears and said, “Our Palestinian people, wherever they are, want life, they cling onto life. Just like the other peoples on this planet, the Palestinians are people who aspire to freedom, to a dignified life, to a peaceful existence.”

“The people of Palestine will not disappear. The people of Palestine will not be buried. The Palestinian people have never been unnecessary,” he said, adding that “you either do us justice or you do it justice.”

He repeated: “We love life, to live in freedom and dignity in our national homeland. We will not disappear. Either you deal with us with fairness and give us our rights or give us rights.”

The US vetoed a resolution in the UN Security Council on a Palestinian bid to be granted full membership of the United Nations.

The 15-nation Council voted on a draft resolution Thursday that would have recommended to the 193-member UN General Assembly “that the State of Palestine be admitted to membership in the United Nations.”

The resolution got 12 votes in its favor, with Switzerland and the UK abstaining and the US casting its veto.

To be adopted, the draft resolution required at least nine Council members voting in its favour, with no vetoes by any of its five permanent members – China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Air defense system activated as blast heard in Iran’s Isfahan: Official

April 19, 2024, Isfahan, IRNA –

Iran activated an air defense system in the early hours of Friday after the sound of an explosion heard near a major airbase in the central province of Isfahan, an Iranian official says.

Reuters quoted an Iranian source as saying that the blast prompted the activation of the air defense system.

CNN also claimed that at least eight flights had to change their route in the skies over Iran.

Further, CBS News quoted unnamed US officials as saying that the Israeli regime launched at least one missile strike on Iran the early Friday morning.

A senior Iranian military official in Isfahan, however, clarified the reports and western media speculations on a relatively loud noise at 4 a.m. local time.

Second Brigadier General Siavash Mihandoost said that the sound was heard in the east of Isfahan as the city’s air defense fired at a suspicious object.

No damage has been reported in the incident, the official added.

IRNA reporter's field investigation also showed that the city and province of Isfahan were in normal condition.

Presidency condemns US' use of veto at UNSC blocking Palestine's UN membership

RAMALLAH, Thursday, April 18, 2024 (WAFA) -

The Palestinian Presidency has strongly condemned the United States' use of its veto power in the UN Security Council, effectively preventing Palestine from obtaining full membership in the United Nations.

Describing the US veto as unfair, unethical, and unjustifiable, the Palestinian Presidency emphasized that this veto defies the will of the international community, which strongly supports Palestine's full membership in the UN.

It said most of the world's countries have recognized Palestine since 2012, when the UN General Assembly voted in favor of upgrading Palestine's status to a non-member observer state.

The Presidency reiterated that "this aggressive US policy towards Palestine and its legitimate rights represents a blatant violation of international law. It fosters Israel's ongoing campaign of aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem, and pushes the region to the brink of an abyss."

"This aggressive US veto exposes the contradictions in American policy, which claims to support a two-state solution while repeatedly obstructing it through vetoing resolutions in the Security Council against Palestine and its legitimate rights," the Presidency emphasized.

It added, "Achieving peace, security, and stability in the region and the world relies on implementing the resolutions of international legitimacy, ending the Israeli occupation of the State of Palestine, and recognizing the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital."

The Palestinian Presidency expressed gratitude to the member states that voted in favor of Palestine obtaining full membership in the United Nations, noting that this international vote in support of the Palestinian people's rights demonstrates the world's unified stance behind the values of justice, freedom, and peace.

'Hamas condemns US veto on Palestinian UN membership

Friday 19-April-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

'Hamas has condemned the use of the veto power by the US against the resolution presented by Algeria on behalf of the Arab group, which calls for granting Palestine full membership in the United Nations.

In a statement on Friday, Hamas said, “Once again, the United States stands against international will, using its veto power against the resolution calling for granting Palestine full membership in the United Nations, despite the support of 12 countries for the resolution.”

'Hamas added that Washington, through this veto, reaffirms its stance against the Palestinian people and their right to self-determination, the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, and its full support for the fascist occupation entity in seizing the rights of the Palestinian people and attempting to liquidate their cause.

It stressed that the American administration, with this position, isolates itself from “the international will that stands with our people and their legitimate rights, putting itself in solidarity with the Zionist-Nazi entity.”

'Hamas strongly condemned the biased American position in favor of the occupation and called on the international community to exert pressure to overcome the American will and support the struggle of the Palestinian people and their legitimate right to determine their destiny.

It affirmed to the world that the Palestinian people will continue their struggle and resistance until they defeat occupation, achieve their rights, and establish their independent Palestinian state with full sovereignty and Jerusalem as its capital.

'Hamas highly appreciated the positions of all countries that stood with the Palestinian cause and voted for the resolution, and thanked the sisterly state of Algeria, the Arab group, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the non-aligned countries that supported the resolution.

The United States used its veto power on Thursday evening against an Arab resolution at the Security Council calling for granting Palestine full membership in the United Nations.

Twelve countries, including Russia, China, and France, which possess veto power, voted in favor of the resolution, while two countries, Switzerland and Britain, which also have veto power, abstained from voting.

Gaza: Israeli army deliberately destroyed the health sector

Thursday 18-April-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian health ministry has accused the Israeli occupation army of deliberately destroying the health sector in Gaza City and northern Gaza, stressing that the Israeli destruction of the Shifa Hospital dealt a severe blow to the health system in the Gaza Strip.

Spokesman for the health ministry Ashraf Al-Qidra said that Israeli forces committed brutal massacres and carried out on-site executions against medical cadres and patients at the Shifa Hospital and other hospitals in northern Gaza.

Al-Qidra also said that the health sector in Gaza lost specialized medical personnel who formed the backbone of medical services.

He added that over 730,000 people in Gaza City and northern Gaza live without real health services, calling for making efforts to provide field hospitals and international multi-specialized medical teams for Gaza City and northern Gaza.

Gaza municipality issues “urgent appeal” amid acute water shortage

Thursday 18-April-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Gaza Municipality issued an “urgent appeal” on Thursday pleading with all relevant parties to act immediately to send fuel to provide citizens with water supplies and prevent acute thirst and environmental and health emergencies brought on by water shortage.

The Gaza Municipality stated in its appeal, “Due to the exhaustion of the limited fuel, all water wells in the city have completely stopped ten days ago.”

It stated that Gaza City is currently suffering from an acute water shortage, particularly in light of the complete destruction of the desalination plant in the northern regions and the continuous cessation of water pumping from the “Mekorot” line since October 9.

The Municipality further pointed out that the crisis has now reached its peak as temperatures began to rise and consumption increased.

Badran: The US is not serious in pushing for a ceasefire

Friday 19-April-2024

DOHA, (PIC)

Member of the 'Hamas Political Bureau, 'Hosam Badran, said that the US is biased to Israel and not serious in pressuring Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu to stop his aggression against Gaza.

The negotiation rounds showed contradiction in Joe Biden administration’s positions between its statements and actions, especially with the approaching US elections, Badran said in press statements on Thursday evening.

“Our demands are natural and humanitarian. The Netanyahu government, however, seeks to achieve political gains from prolonging the war,” he added, stressing that “no concession to a comprehensive ceasefire and the withdrawal from all occupied territories in Gaza.”

“We insist on resistance to defend our Palestinian people and will continue confronting the Israeli occupation forces. We will never surrender,” Badran said.

He stressed, “We will not allow the Israeli occupation entity to impose its conditions on us after the huge sacrifices we have made,” adding that “our people are showing legendary steadfastness.”

Badran asserted that the Netanyahu government does not seek a solution and negotiation, and the international community bears responsibility for the Israeli threats.

“We are in a state of self-defense, and we will resist with all our power and capabilities,” he affirmed, pointing out that “the humanitarian situation in Gaza is catastrophic.”

Badran said that “the international position has recently changed and become convinced that defeating the resistance and Hamas is a mission hard to achieve.”

Two prisoners from Gaza die of torture in Israeli detention centers

Friday 19-April-2024

+ -

GAZA, (PIC)

The Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation announced on Thursday evening that two detainees from the Gaza Strip died en route to be interrogated in an Israeli detention center.

No further details were mentioned by the Corporation about the circumstances of the martyrdom of the two Palestinians. However, testimonies from Gazan released prisoners, who were arrested over the past months, confirm that they were subjected to various types of torture and humiliation at the hands of the Israeli occupation forces (IOF).

On March 27, an investigation by Haaretz Hebrew newspaper revealed the martyrdom of 27 detainees from the Gaza Strip in Israeli military facilities in which they had been detained since the beginning of the IOF genocidal war on the Strip.

Haaretz said, in its investigation, that it obtained data indicating that 27 detainees were martyred while being held at the Sde Teyman military base near Beersheba and the Anatot army camp near Al-Quds (Jerusalem).

The Israeli occupation army refused to provide any data on the circumstances of the martyrdom of the detainees, but indicated that some of them had been injured in fighting, while others were suffering from complex medical conditions before their arrest, the newspaper added.

According to the testimonies of released prisoners from Gaza, 95% of them did not know their detention places, as they were shackled and blindfolded all the time. None of the human rights institutions, or even the International Committee of the Red Cross, were allowed to obtain any information about them.

The occupation army unleashes large-scale aggression against Nour Shams

TULKARM, Friday, April 19, 2024 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation army today unleashed a large-scale aggression against Nour Shams refugee camp, east of the occupied West Bank city of Toulkarm.

The occupation army launched Thursday evening a large-scale 17-hour-long onslaught against the Nour Shams refugee camp, triggering confrontations and causing extensive destruction.

The Israeli occupation army, accompanied by two bulldozers, one of them a D9, stormed and imposed a strict siege on the camp, deploying military vehicles on all axes leading to the camp and closing the main street amid the flying of reconnaissance aircraft in the area.

Israeli bulldozers deliberately destroyed main streets, alleyways, water and wastewater networks on their way to and inside the camp, and tore down walls, stores and parts of houses in the camp.

Additionally, the Israeli forces sealed off the entrances of the camp with earth mounds and targeted electricity poles and wires along the main Nablus Street adjacent to the camp, causing power outages in parts of the area.

Scores of soldiers showed up at dozens of houses in the camp, broke inside, conducted thorough searches, dragged the occupants to a single room and interrogated them.

They turned some houses into military outposts, deployed snipers and prevented ambulances from entering the camp to evacuate patients, causing an elderly man to die.

A young man sustained a shrapnel injury. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where medics described his condition as stable.

During the raid, the occupation forces detained three youths from various parts of the city of Toulkarm, bringing the total number of those detained from the city since the onset of the aggression to six.

The heavily armed Israeli occupation soldiers beat up a man, inflicting bruises and injuries across his body and requiring him to be rushed to a hospital.

They opened fire at several journalists present on the scene to cover the raid. No injuries were reported though.

Fresh Israeli raids, abductions across West Bank

Friday 19-April-2024

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) carried out a large-scale raid and abduction campaign throughout the West Bank overnight and at dawn Friday, which led to the outbreak of violent clashes.

In Al-Khaleel (Hebron), the IOFs detained the young man Nadi Khalieel Al-Rujoub after storming his family house in Doura town.

In Ramallah, clashes erupted when IOFs troops broke into Al-Mughayir village amid heavy fire of light bombs. Several local homes were stormed and searched during the raid.

Similar clashes erupted in Salim and Douma towns, in Nablus, after the IOFs abducted several Palestinian youths, including two brothers.

In Toulkarm, the IOFs abducted a young man after attacking him with a police dog in his family house.

Late Thursday, the IOFs imposed a tight cordon on Nour Shams camp, in Toulkarm, completely restricting the locals’ movement.

As a result, an old man died in his house after suffering a health deterioration and being unable to be moved to the hospital.

Medical sources also pointed out that at least two Palestinians were injured during the raid, while at least three youths were abducted.

Meanwhile, Palestinian resistance fighters and Israeli forces have engaged in gun battles in the refugee camp amid intense flights of Israeli drones. The sound of heavy explosions was also heard in the camp.

Earlier overnight, Israeli occupation forces raided Nour Shams refugee camp and have closed off entrances to the camp as well as the main roads leading to it.

Israeli occupation forces imposed a curfew on the camp, preventing residents and vehicles from leaving or entering the area.

Israeli occupation army bulldozers destroyed infrastructure and roads leading to the camp before targeting power lines, leading to a complete power blackout.

At least two Palestinians were injured, and several others were investigated and abducted.

Occupation forces detain three Palestinians in West Bank raids

Salfeet, Friday, April 19, 2024 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces today detained three Palestinians in raids across the occupied West Bank, according to security and local sources.

They said that the occupation forces physically assaulted and rounded up a Palestinian from Marda village, north of the city of Salfeet, and ransacked his family house, turning it upside down.

Meanwhile, the gun-toting soldiers barged their way into a house in the Nablus city neighborhood of Ras Al-'Ain, conducted a thorough search and eventually detained another.

In the Jordan Valley, the Director of the Palestine Prisoner’s Society, 'Eid Barahmah, said that soldiers manning a checkpoint, south of the city of Jericho, stopped and detained a 17-year-old teen.

The sources confirmed similar raids in Douma and Salfeet villages, south of Nablus, where the soldiers searched several houses.

In Ramallah district, a convoy of military vehicles stormed al-Mughayyir village, east of the city, where the troops muscled inside several houses and interrogated the occupants.

During ensuing confrontations, the soldiers fired volleys of tear gas canisters and concussion grenades. No injuries were reported though.

The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.

According to the latest figures from Al-Dhameer, the Palestinian Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, there are currently 9,500 Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli prisons and detention centres, including 200 child prisoners and 80 female prisoners.

This number includes approximately 3,660 Palestinians placed under “administrative detention”, which allows the detention of Palestinians without charge or trial for renewable intervals ranging between three and six months based on undisclosed evidence that even a detainee’s lawyer is barred from viewing.

The mass arrest of Palestinians is nothing new. According to a 2017 report by Al-Dhameer, over the past 50 years, more than 800,000 Palestinians have been imprisoned or detained by Israel, this figure is now believed to be closer to 1 million. This means that about 40% of Palestinian men and boys living under military occupation have been deprived of their freedom. Almost every Palestinian family has suffered the imprisonment of a loved one.
